- eggs
- milk
- Ritz crackers
- salt
- black pepper
- garlic powder
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- butter
How to make Ritz Cracker Chicken
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a medium-size mixing bowl, beat eggs with a whisk until light. Whisk in the milk. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the crushed Ritz crackers, salt, pepper, and garlic powder together.
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg/milk mixture.

- Next, dredge the chicken breast into the Ritz cracker topping and place the coated chicken into a grease 9×13 baking dish.
Continue this process until all the chicken breasts are coated.
- Pour the melted butter over the chicken breast and sprinkle the remaining cracker topping over the chicken.

- Bake uncovered for 40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

Tips for the Best Ritz Cracker Chicken
- Pound thick chicken breasts to an even thickness so they bake evenly and stay juicy.
- Use real butter (not margarine) for the best flavor in your crushed cracker coating.
- Crush the crackers finely so they stick well and form a crispy, even crust.
- Lightly press the coating onto the chicken after dipping so it really adheres.
Don’t crowd the pan — use a large baking dish or sheet pan so the chicken bakes, not steams.

Entertaining Tips:
- Add a sprinkle of fresh parsley, chopped chives, or a drizzle of lemon butter sauce for a more refined presentation.
- Pair with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, or a baby greens salad with vinaigrette for an elevated meal.
- For individual portions at a dinner party, slice the chicken and fan it out on plates with a dollop of aioli or flavored mayo.
- Serve on a white platter with garnishes for a simple but beautiful table presentation.
Storage and Freezing Tips:
Storage:
- Store leftover Ritz Cracker Chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350°F until warmed through to keep the coating crisp.
Freezing:
- To freeze before baking: Prep the chicken up to the coating step, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and freeze until solid. Transfer to a freezer bag and freeze for up to 2 months.
- To freeze after baking: Cool completely, wrap tightly, and freeze. Reheat in the oven (not microwave) for the best texture.
