  • 2 heads fresh broccoli (about 6–cups chopped into bite-sized pieces)
  • ⅔  cup chopped red onion
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (freshly grated is best)

  • For the Dressing:
    • 1 cup mayonnaise
    • ½ cup sugar
    • ½ cup white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prep the broccoli Cut the broccoli florets into small, bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the mix-ins Add the chopped red onion, pecans, raisins, shredded cheese, and crumbled bacon to the bowl with the broccoli.
  3. Make the dressing separately In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sugar, and white vinegar. Stir well until smooth and fully blended.

Chill before serving

Cover and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours before serving for best flavor and texture.

Notes

Make-Ahead Tip

You can prep all the ingredients the day before—just keep the dressing separate and toss everything together a few hours before serving.

Storage Tip

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep in mind, the broccoli will soften slightly over time, but the flavor will still be delicious.
