Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh peach puree (about 12 to 16 peaches)
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 cups cold water
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice or the juice of one lemon
- 4 cups ginger ale, chilled
- Garnish: Peach slices, fresh mint leaves, frozen peach and cherry ice cubes post for directions on ice cubes)
Instructions
- Combine peach puree, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Mix well and chill.
- Just before serving add ginger ale. Taste and add more sugar if peaches are not sweet enough.
- Add fresh peach slices to punch, mint leaves and ice cubes and garnish the bowl tray with whole peaches, unpeeled and magnolia leaves, if desired.
Notes
Do ahead tip/freeze: Peach puree mixture can be refrigerated for up to 2 days
before serving. Add ginger ale just before serving. The puree mixture can also be frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw over night in the refrigerator and add the ginger ale before serving.
